Today is Salo's 19th birthday!!! We have a tradition for celebrating our baby girl's birthday. It's usually a week long celebration. We start out with a cake and ice-cream celebration at school on the day of her birthday then followed by shopping through-out the week and ends with a dinner and a movie on the weekend. Now because her school friends are all special needs kids, they can't come over for a birthday party, so we always take the party to school! Even though we've been doing this for the last maybe 5 years, she's still very surprise when we show up. That's one of the special thing about our baby girl, even at 19 she's still a baby! Happy Birthday Baby Girl Salo! We love you forever!

A Thank You Note to our kids in Hawaii!!!!
So can you say WOWWWWWWW and THANK YOUUUUUUUU!!!!!! That's exactly how we felt with our new addition (or replacement) in our family! No....not a grandchild (yet...LOL) Big thanks to Misi and Jean...they have made our girls dream come true (and us) Here are some pictures of the van that our daughter and her husband just bought for us. It's a 2000 GMC Savana with a wheelchair lift.

Halloween 2008
Hmmm....it's been a while since I last posted! Either too busy or too tired to type. Well, alot of things happened since my last posting, so I thought I'd just start with the present and maybe later I'll continue to add little of the past, but don't hold your breath. (LOL...no..seriously) Halloween is always exciting for any mother to dress up their little ones, and I'm no exception to that. So this Halloween, I dressed up my 2 babies as Maid Salo and Mini-Maid Haelie! They were soooo excited as with every Halloween! This is their second
year at Hartvigsen and twice now, we have eagerly participated in their Halloween parade and we are excited to add this, one of many, to our family tradition. Here are some pictures from that event.

Introduction
Welcome to my blog!!! I'm completely new and excited about entering into the world of blogging...so please don't be too harsh to judge.
I'm married to a WONDERFUL man, who I can't seem to express my love and gratitude enough for all that he's done for me and our kids. We have been extremely blessed with 4 children.
Our oldest child is a girl, Norma-Jean Malama Livai, who has found a great love, Semisi Livai, equal to her dad in love and caring for her. They now live in Kahuku, Hawaii, running their own business (Emergency Shelter for kids). We are vastly proud of their accomplishments...and continue to pray for their continued success.
Our second child is a boy, Philip Ma-Ching, who has also found the love of his life, Melissa Slaton, and are living in Buckley, Washington. Unlike, his older sister, he has been a challenge in being raised. But like his older sister, we love him just the same (challenge and all) Although, we continue to help him out in life, we are still proud of what he has been able to accomplish so far.
Our third child is a girl, Emmaureen Asalo, (but we call her Salo for short) who is now 18 years old. She is now and will always be living with us. She is disable with a diagnose of spastic cerebral palsy. She keeps us young and old at the same time. Anyone who has met her would say that she has a wonderful and contagious smile! There is so much life and energy in her that we continue to treasure.
Our fourth child is another girl, Haelie Marie, who will be 12 in a month. She is also disable with the same diagnose (spastic cerebral palsy). Unlike Salo, she is g-tube fed and can't talk; but like Salo, she expresses great life! (through gestures)
Like most parents, our children are our lives. Including our childhood lives, we believe that their lives have made us who we are today. Their accomplishments and challenges have built our strengths and knowledge.
Our memorable thoughts consists of special times spent with our children, and other childrens that we have come to meet during our service in the youth for church.
My husband works outside of the home and I work inside of the home, caring for our 2 younger girls. We enjoy going to the movies, restaurants, swimming, camping, site seeing, and traveling outside of Utah. We rarely do things as a couple because we include our kids in everything. (including valentine and wedding anniversary dinners) I know...it sounds pretty weird, but like I said previously, our children are our lives and we alter our lives to them.
Ok...so now that you've somewhat met us...Talofa and Welcome!
